Lincoln police are investigating three armed robberies at convenience stores overnight.

The first occurred at 11:40 a.m. at the Kwik Shop at 44th and Cornhusker. A man came in, showed a gun and demanded money. He then fled on foot. No one was hurt. Police have obtained leads to identify the suspect.

Minutes later, Lincoln police were dispatched to Casey’s at 48th and Fremont Street. The suspect was again armed with a handgun. While in the store, he assaulted a female employee and fired his gun before taking cash and fleeing on foot. Police confirmed that the same suspect was responsible for both robberies.

At 1 a.m. another armed robbery was reported at the Kwik Shop at 27th and W Street. The suspect assaulted and robbed a customer and took cash from the store before leaving on foot.

Captain Max Hubka says: “We have leads and evidence that we are still following. None of the injuries are life-threatening. I think there is trauma with these gas station clerks and we believe these crimes are connected.

LPD says they are trying to determine if a suspect matching the same description stole the Quick Trip near 108th and L in Omaha around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
