Opening of a new retail business in Keighley

A NEW retail is opening in Keighley this Friday (June 3).

Clara’s Closet – in Church Street – will mainly store catalog returns, including shoes, clothes, furniture and household items.

The initiative is a family affair – inspired by discussions between Sue Watson, her daughter Lianne Townend and parents in Liverpool.

“Lianne and I live in Keighley and we were growing increasingly concerned about the closure of many shops in the town,” Sue said.

“We wanted to create a different retail experience, and with people facing ever-increasing prices, we also had to make it affordable.

“Lianne will be promoting our business to potential customers through a live Facebook feed that allows customers to view products and also interact. But for those who don’t have access, we will offer face-to-face contact at face, promoting our products from the comfort of their homes. This will also allow us to employ individuals to be at the forefront and represent our business. And of course, not forgetting our shop, where every customer will be warmly welcomed! We will also offer click and collect and deliveries.”

Sue added: “We are very excited about this trip and will put our heart and soul into making it work.”

Friday’s opening attractions will include Jubilee face painting for children.
