Rite Aid offers Shipt same-day delivery of non-prescription products to all of its 2,100 and more stores in 17 states.
Through the service, Rite Aid shoppers can order from over 20,000 products – such as over-the-counter medicines and health care, vitamins and supplements, beauty and personal care items, snacks and drinks – through the online marketplace Shipt and have them delivered in under an hour, Birmingham, Alabama-based Shipt said yesterday.
The chain-wide launch follows a successful pilot and comes as the two companies saw same-day delivery go “from a luxury to a convenience to a must-have” for consumers, according to Shipt, a subsidiary of Target Corp.
“Our partnership with Shipt brings another level of convenience to Rite Aid’s customer experience,” said Katie Finnegan, Rite Aid’s customer experience and e-commerce manager, in a statement. “As consumer preferences continue to evolve, it is important to provide options and we will continue to explore ways to make it as easy as possible for our customers to obtain the items they need to care for their families. healthy, happy and prosperous. “
Customers place orders through the Rite Aid page on the Shipt Marketplace or through the Shipt mobile app. After adding products to their virtual cart and selecting a nearby Rite Aid store, they select a delivery time and a personal Shipt buyer selects, packs and delivers their order.
In support of the new partnership, Shipt is offering Rite Aid customers $ 10 off their first order for a minimum transaction of $ 50 through August 12.
“Both Shipt and Rite Aid recognize the importance of meeting the evolving needs of our customers and exceeding their expectations,” commented Rina Hurst, Director of Business at Shipt. “We are thrilled to offer Rite Aid customers access to a community of Shipt buyers, who are committed to going above and beyond to get their order just right. Shipt continues to evolve as a multi-vertical delivery service that can act as a one-stop-shop for whatever a customer’s needs, and Rite Aid is a valued partner in this journey.
Shipt is Rite Aid’s third partner for on-demand delivery service for in-store products. The Camp Hill, Pa.-Based drugstore chain has offered same-day delivery of over-the-counter groceries and health products to all of its stores through Instacart in a partnership announced a year ago. little over a year. And last May, Rite Aid partnered with DoorDash for same-day delivery of over-the-counter health, wellness and convenience products.
